I took early retirement from my work as the Head of the Department of French at St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore, India, and went full time into therapy and training. I use Hypnosis and NLP tools to initiate and sustain personal change.

I am the Founder Director of the Bangalore Hypnosis Institute which conducts training and therapy sessions to empower people. Currently, I am the Director of Training & Research at Jin Information Systems (P) Ltd, a Japanese company specializing in software development, job profile research, online skill assessment and skills development using NLP.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Bangalore, India, and my Masters degree in French Literature from Karnataka University, Dharward, India. I did a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of Franche Compté, Besançon, France.

As the Founder Secretary of Bangalore Social Action Trust, I have been publishing, since 1986, a quarterly review for justice, development and social change titled Integral Liberation.

My special interest is to study the impact of modern technology on the way the human mind processes information and how it can overcome a client’s subconscious resistance in therapy sessions.

For me hypnosis is a state that allows the client in a deeper level to eliminate the energy stored in different behaviors on a subconscious level. I work in the emergency department at Boston Children’s Hospital and have specialized in a set of  skills for how to approach and treat children in a way that takes their minds of their pain and allows them to cooperate during procedures.

I took a great hypnosis course given by an emergency physician in California that got me started and for a while I was using straight trance work but it was too time consuming and not appropriate for young children – you can’t do arm catalepsy on a 2-year old. So I was forced to rethink how to apply the basic hypnotic principles to working with children, especially young children. I eventually extracted the principles I learned and began to develop my own framework and ideas on how to do this with young children.
